Northwest locks in financing for all deliveries in 2008

What are your views on the airfinance market this year?

Northwest has been very active in the market. We raised financing for a number of airplanes. We pre-financed all 72 of our regional jets that are being delivered 2007 and 2008. We did that with both private bank financing and a $454 million EETC in early October. Northwest also financed a number of A330s that have been delivered to the company. So we've been very active and we felt the market was accessible to us. Obviously, we're currently faced with a credit crisis across the globe but we're still financing our aircraft.

How has the credit crisis affected you?

We haven't really been affected. We have financing for all aircraft on order and we have financing in place for all the current aircraft being delivered. As you may know, Northwest has the highest credit rating among all major network airlines,...
