  • Australian-based Skywest Airlines, owned and operated by Advent Air, has purchased a Fokker 50. The addition of this aircraft increases the Skywest Airlines' Fokker 50 fleet to seven.
    This fleet expansion is in order to service growth in the resource and mining operator charter segments of the Skywest business. The aircraft is being purchased from Denim Air in the Netherlands for cash.

    Jeff Chatfield, chairman for Advent Air, says: "We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of another aircraft. This will help us to further take advantage of strong demand from the resource sector, which is a focus of the company."

    Skyways Aviation has also arranged the lease of one ATR 42 on behalf of Bravo Aviation of the UK. The aircraft was delivered to White Eagle Aviation in Poland in November.
