Air Canada has financed 18 Embraer 190s, worth about $400 million, with a 15-year secured loan. RBS was lead arranger; DVB Bank and Halifax Bank of Scotland were co-arrangers. Embraer provided backstop financing. The three banks and Embraer financed 80% of the deal. The equity was provided internally by Air Canada. Bennett Jones advised Air Canada, and Vedder Price represented RBS.
