Q&A: John Luth and David Turnbull on Seabury's new Asian operation

When discussing aviation in Asia, it is rarely long before David Turnbull's name comes up.  A member of the region's aviation and shipping aristocracy, there are few aspects of the market in which he has not been involved.  After 30 years with long-established regional stalwart Swire Group, and a period running one of the area's largest airlines, Cathay Pacific, Turnbull has now joined Seabury Group as chairman of the firm's new Hong Kong subsidiary, Seabury Asia.

Turnbull's three decades with Swire, a diversified corporation whose interests include trading and marine services in addition to aviation, provide the depth of regional experience Seabury requires from the head of its new Asian operation.  He is immediate past chairman of the group, which he joined in 1976.  During his time with the company he held various senior management positions with international responsibilities covering aviation, shipping and property.
