Etihad places $7 billion engine order

Etihad Airways has placed orders with engine manufacturers worth $7 billion at list prices.

 

The Abu Dhabi airline has placed 239 firm orders with GE Aviation, Rolls-Royce, Engine Alliance and International Aero Engines, which includes 19 spare engines.

 

If all options were exercised, the value of the deal could increase to $14 billion, at list prices, making it the largest engine order in history.
