Former managing director at Merrill Lynch, George Ackert, has moved to boutique investment bank Evercore Partners to establish the firm’s transportation and infrastructure advisory practice.
The team, which will be headed by six senior officers, will focus on mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and general advisory. “There’s a role for an independent advisor with deep industry expertise,” says Ackert, senior managing director, Evercore Partners. “We plan on filling that void.”
