Feature: What is a 777-300ER worth?

Airfinance Journal asked appraisers to assess the value of a 2004-vintage 777-300ER powered by GE90 engines.

The 777-300ER is made up of more than three million parts from 500 global suppliers. The aircraft can carry up to 365 passengers flying up to 7,930 nautical miles (14,685 km).

Air France was the launch customer for the 777-300ER in 2004, with the first service flying between Paris and New York. Emirates and Cathay Pacific also have placed large orders for the type.

General Electric is a revenue and risk-sharing partner in the 777-300ER and the smaller, longer-range 777-200LR aircraft, and is the exclusive engine supplier for both variants.

Since entering into service in 2004, more than 230 aircraft have been delivered and the backlog stands at 182 aircraft with deliveries scheduled through 2014.
