Hungarian flag carrier Malev has suspended an order for 30 Sukhoi Superjets, as the government-owned airline concentrates on returning to profitability and finding new investors.
The carrier signed a letter of intent (LOI) for 30 of the Russian-manufactured SSJ100s in 2009, worth about $1 billion at list prices. The aircraft were scheduled to begin delivering from 2011 at a rate of six deliveries a year.
