Washington DC’s District Court has denied a preliminary injunction request to block loans guaranteed by the US Government for Boeing aircraft deliveries to Air India today.
The Airlines for America (A4A), previously known as the Air Transport Association (ATA) of America,filed a lawsuit in Washington DC against the US Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank on November 16 2011.
The trade organisation aimed to block a $1.2 billion aircraft loan guaranteed by the US government for Boeing 787 and 777-300ER aircraft deliveries to Air India. A4A claimed the bank’s loan approval would harm the US domestic airline industry and employment, among other claims.
